My 2006 Ram 2500HD I bought new is still solid as a rock.
I just thought I would add a good status report for my 2006 Ram 2500HD qc. No rattles or squeaks and has ran perfect. I am very impressed with the fit and finish of the truck over my last 2001 Ram 1500. The 2006 Ram seems to be built so much better. Other than a Cherry Bomb exhaust drone I worked out last summer,(See Cherry Bomb posts) the truck has been perfect so far. I am very happy and could not ask for more.
Good deal!!! Forums in general have a vast majority of negative posts, due to the nature of most getting on only to have issues they have resolved, often after exhausting all other avenues.
It's good to read a solid, positive post.
I've had no real issues with my '04 either, although I have made an effort to replace known "iffy" parts with more solid aftermarket ones through modding over the years.

My truck is now 3 years old.
The only complaints I have is the door seems are rusting, the metal bar under the dash ( pass side near the blower motor) is rusting, I now have the odd rattle in the dash board area.
I love dupli collor, All the rust issues I have taken care off my self, as the truck is not new anymore, the little issues I have a minor.
The hemi and 6sp trans are flawless, drive train, is flawless, I have had a couple minor warenty ittems ( Drivers seat replaced, Foam backing just dissapearded and a nutrual safety switch for the cruse control )
I have 75,000 KM on the truck now, all construction related KM, towing and hauling pretty much what ever...
MPG on the highway are excellant, over 18mpg+ at 60 mph empty, I do find performance and mpg better with 92+ octane how ever I stick with mid grade for city driving.
I was considering moving up to a CTD, but not anymore.
The only F up I did was going to a dynomax ultra flow mufler when I went to dual ex, now I have a generic walker mufller two in lest two out lets..
Now I'm shopping for two muflers... True dual ex realy improves the performance and mpg, but its tricky getting the right ex. system....
The 2500 Ram is a moutain on wheals...
