Default 5.9 Vs 5.7L

Why do I find that many listings out there list the new Rams with 5.9 liters, not 5.7 liters? Is this a carryover from the Second Gen Rams?

The 5.9 is the Cummins diesel L6.
The 5.7 is the Dodge Hemi V8.

I've just been finding listings for exhausts that will say that a certain system is for the 4.7L AND the 5.9L, so does that mean the same exhaust for a smaller V8 is ok for the Cummins?

No, not even close.
I'd say the application guide that you are viewing is flawed or poorly written.
Pay close attention to the dates and any side notes, there is always the chance that you could be looking at it wrong too, but I doubt that!

if the exhaust is going to be for the cummins it's gunna say it. and it would be in sizes of 4 inches and higher.

to answer your question, the 5.9 gasser has been out for a while so theres alot on the market for it. the 5.7 hemi is still new and aftermarket products have yet to catch up, but they will

Ah, that would explain the 5.9L listings I see everywhere. Good thing I checked cause I've been looking for a catback system for my 5.7L. Wouldn't want to get the wrong type. Thanks guys!
