Default Change oil message?

Ok so everytime I start my truck nows I am getting the change oil message. The thing is that I only have 2650 miles on the truck and have already done one oil change at 1000 miles.

Should I be expecting to get this message on the dash every 1500 miles and if so do I just ignore it until I feel its time to get an oil change?

I think it's scheduled for the first change at 2500miles???? And 6k thereafter or when it thinks the oil is broken down. You will get the light every 6k or so from now on. Just turn ignition On without running and press gas pedal down 3 times then start.

yeah you just forgot (or didnt know how) to reset the oil light. the internals keep track of your mileage between oil light resets. dogg's right on the money for resetting it.

Yes reset it when you change the oil. When all else fails, read the manual.
