Default Steering wheel radio controls

I recently put in an alpine headunit and also bought the swi-jack controller so i can use my steering wheel controls with my alpine headuint. For some reason i cant get it to work, has anyone done this that can help me out a little

is there anyone with aftermarket HU that uses factory steering wheel controls?

Did you get the unit from Crutchfield? I know everyone says that one works to adapt the signals.

i dont have an aftermarket yet. what brand did you use so i know to stay away

I got it to work, It was telling me to cut a red black wire for 2002, but for the 03 is said gray and white, i tried that and it worked on my 02.
