Default Advice And Help Needed

Hey all, okay I got a few things on the ball need some advice, and help. It's a 2003 Dodge Ram Quad Cab SLT 4X4.

1. My trucks paint is a glossy black (factory), I believe clear coat. The paint seems "blotchy" now in some areas. Seems as if someone splattered oil on it in some places. I guess it's just wore from all the hard-water rain and what not. What would restore the paint back to an almost brand-***-spanking new condition? As I plan to get a hood scoop and do not want the newly painted part not matching the preexisting paint. I was thinking getting a electric polisher and basically waxing it. Let me know if this will work and what things to get.

2. When I rev the motor sometimes, maybe peak it at 3000RPM, I can hear a popping noise from my exhaust. I recently had a catalytic convert replaced. I assumed the 3rd time of being re-welded would seal all the leaks. IS it possible my muffler is gone on me? There is no dents/holes in it just to get that thought out of the way. If so, what's a cheap but very effective replacment. I plan to Y-off from the muffler here in a few short weeks and place two exhaust tips on the bottom of eachside of my bumper.

3. I'm getting an engine light on. Errors P0445, P0456. Basically small leaks in the EVAP. I was told to change the gas-cap. Did so, nothing. I looked under the truck for any broke lines. I did find rubber hose that goes to those black boxes under the cab (charcole something or w.e) was split. So I fixed it. I've had a mechanics look at everything but nothing was solved. He said look at the EGR valve. But I'm hesitant to think a stuck vavle would cause a "small leak" error. What can I do from here that are "typical issues". Taking it too the stealership is a last resort. As my local stealership are the biggest bunch of stupid crooks, ever (They'd win a world record it).

Thanks guys!

Take it to a detailer. It just needs some compound and polish with a wheel. It will look brand new after that. Should be less than 100 bucks.
