Default MDS indicator and ghetto intake

Hey all. New here and not exactly sure where to post this. I'm sure the mods will move to wherever it should be.
I have an 08 Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi SXT. After alot of reading and help from this forum and others I installed a home brew cold air intake and an MDS indicator light.
The intake with K&N filter really made a difference in sound and performance, truck has alot more zip than it did with the restrictive "Hemi'hat" and the indicator light for the MDS sure tells alot about 4 cyls versus 8.
A simple question about the 2 mods, would I be wise to put the intake back to stock when I take to a dealer for whatever? I'm still under warranty. It's pretty simple to put the original air intake back on but there is no hiding the MDS light I installed on the dash.
Great community here and I thank anyone in advance for their replies.

probably wouldnt hurt to throw the stock intake back on for stealership work, the lil light shouldnt be a big problem.

Stealership...I like that. My first and only experience with them so far was a $75+tax charge to activate my Mopar OEM fog lights I installed (the SXT model is wired for them at least).
It took them all of 5 minutes. I guess it wasn't enough that they had already made money on the part. I was none too impressed.

You should have called around, most dealerships will turn on the fog lights on your PCM for free, provided you bought the lights from them.
I wouldn't bother to pull the CAI when bringing it in. Mopar offers a CAI (actually an AEM Brute Force, with a Mopar sticker on it), so I doubt you'll run into much trouble about having one, but if it makes you feel more comfortable, then do it...

Only 2 dealers in town here. I called them both and it was minimum 1 hour. I did buy the kit from them too and I told them that when they presented me with the bill for 5 minutes work. Not a real good start to our "relationship".
