Default Dual CAI Suggestions

So i am looking to install a home made dual CAI. A picture of one that i can't find anymore on this forum inspired me. I am using a T PVC pipe and plan on mounting the filters on either side of the T. My plan is to remove the stock housing including the air box on top of the engine that reads 4.7L Magnum and putting the T with filters hanging off it in its place. Just wondering if removing the air box on top of the engine is a bad idea? I could just buy a CAI but that is no fun for all you "go buy a $40 one on EBAY".

No removing the box helps cause it actually restrict air flow so anything is better than it i have a custom one that isnt dual but when you take the air box off it does make the motor a little louder from cab, but very good thing to do and make your own so much more pride there then Ebay and a lot cheaper!

the air box is called a resonator and it makes the engine quieter. remove it if you want a little deeper engine note. i say go for it!
