Default brakes- 03 ram 2500

just had truck at dealer for some ac work, asked them to check brakes also-
they have been pulsating and wheel shake.

they call say all four rotors are warped,
i just had new rotors in front and pads in 8/08
and new rear pads 11/08

unfortunately im out of warranty on fronts(90 days),
so i agree to new front rotors with 1 year warantee
and they want to turn rear rotors

they call and say its all set
pick it up and girl at desk says fronts fine, but you have a cracked rear
rotor so we cound not turn the rears.

1st i ask why i was not called about this
2nd i ask if it is safe

no response at all to 1st question- idk
girl says " the brakes will be fine but you need new rear rotors for $560"

so i leave, steering wheel is nice and smooth now when braking-- but i have a brand new
shake from the rear of the truck when braking now-- kinda like a thud, thud thud

so
i know rotors rust on and mechanics use a convincing tool like a 5lb sledge to to break them free---i think they cracked one of the rotors

i also think my rear brakes were near 100% before i brought the truck in

im pretty deep in brake repair $$ since aug 08 to now---
i cant afford another 560 at the moment

recomendations?
is it worth calling the dealer and asking if they cracked my rotor?
thanks

Front pads from AZ are 20-60bux, the rear pads are 25-75. Both are lifetime. Front rotors are 60 and rears are 100. So why not do the replacing yourself? Theyre not going to admit cracking a rotor and the likely it cracked from getting to hot and cooling down to fast which is also why you got warpage.

^agreed,
you shouldnt take your truck to a dealership for brake repair, or for that matter most any repair....find an honest mechanic or IMO do it yourself.
