Can someone post a DIY for this? I just rolled over 80k and i think its about time i did mine as well..

I have to change mine next weekend.Just one question.Is there a gasket on the housing cover and if so is it reusable or do i need to pick up a couple?Oh ya,one more quesdtion.Does the front and rear both use 75w140 or just the rear?

Front uses 75w-90 rear uses 75w-140 as far as the gasket. Scrape old remnants away and use RTV silicone. Be sure not to over tighten the cover bolts or you'll squeeze all the silicone out. You'll want to let the silicone set-up for a little while before you pour the new fluid in. or if you get this stuff http://www.permatex.com/products/Aut...ute_Gasket.htm Jegs/sumit both carry it. It's a super thick RTV sealant and can be driven with right away. Most RTV sealants need to cure before you can fully trust if the cover will leak if you pour fluid in asap. I have never had any issu'es with the above stuff. it's the best i've used.

Thnx Dirtydog for the info.Thats the way i used to do it and thought it would work on this truck too.Just wanted to be sure.Thnx again.
