Default 03 dodge ram spark plug wires

Can someone explain to me or does anyone have pictures on how the spark plugs wiring system works on the 5.7 hemi? If i buy new wires for it, do they connect to a distributor or do they connect to the coil pack? Is it just the offspark wire that i'm replacing since the coilpack is the main spark in the cylinder? Theres a wire that comes off the coil pack, is that the one thats ran to the other plug for the second fire in the cylinder or am i completely off? ANy help would be great

i think it may be the same as my 04, so i believe that the plug wires go from the coil pack on top of one plug to another plug. stock, they go from a coil pack on one side of the engine to another plug on the other side. i got myself a set of shorty wires, that connect the coil pack to the other plug right next to it. cleans up the bay a little and is less of a hassle routing them, and trying to figure out if they are hooked up correctly.

have you takin the intake cover off your truck cause you can see everything once thats off. i know you don't want to take it in to get the wires and plugs changed because thats expensive. since you asked about the wires for the second spark plugs per cylinder do those wires ever have to be changed cause i know they aren't spark plug wires.

They are spark plug wires, just not for igniting the power stroke, the waste spark setup was for emissions. It made it a whole 3 model years (2003-2005) before being replaced with the 6.1 coil pack setup. Must not have been that effective if they decided to do away with so quickly. I just replaced the whole mess with Taylor shorty wires (converting to the other coil setup is pricey) and was done with it.
