Just bought a 2007 Ram 1500 SLT, 5.7 Hemi - 21,000 kms
History shows the guy before me had a tranny issue - unsure what, no problems found by his Dodge dealer.
Now I know - tranny knocks hard - not at first. I can go from park to drive, no problem, or park to reverse, no problem. But if I go from park to drive THEN to reverse, or vice-versa, it clunks in neutral and into the gear. Almost like I don't have my foot on the brake, but I do. Sending it in for warranty work, but I'd like to know the problem first, before they try to jerk me around.

i have the same problem. on an 08 hemi.. tranny knocks mostly when the truck is cold for some reason. i took it in and they said nothing was wrong with it..
