Default 2004 Dodge Ram - Coolant Problems

The truck overheated. Dodge changed the water pump. Other mechanics have now changed the thermostat twice, another water pump and the radiator cap. The truck gauge shows almost to "H". The only way to pull it down is to turn on the HEAT.

We did notice the washer fluid light is on, but the fluid is full. Any correlation?

THe latest mechanic thinks the radiator needs to be replaced. The input and output hoses are the same temperature.

I'm running into the same problem. I'm guessing since the intake and output hoses are the same temp the radiator does sound to be clogged. How can I test this on mine?

Have you had the temp checked by hand on the hoses? mayube you have a faulty sensor! With a sensor all the way at Hot, you would get lots of girgling and boiling going on iside your collant lines. is this the case? i's replace the temp sensor and make sure all the air is out fo the coolant system before you replace the radiator.

Could be a clogged heater core as well which slows down flow.

First thing I would do is Replace the sensor. Then take it to a shop and have a power flush done, These clear out good portion of any clogs and sediment. Could be a head gasket about to go or gone, Are you losing coolant?

No has nothing to do with the washer fluid.
