gas leaks out when filling up

Just a number to use as an example, but yeah, I don't ever let a tank get much below a quarter tank before filling it, just habit I guess...

I try to fill mine up at about 1/8 any lower and I worry about putting strain on the fuel pump.

I know a owner of a new Ford that had this problem and the dealer narrowed it to a vent issue.Was building up to much preasure and spitting back when filling.Not sure how Dodge fuel systems are though,havent looked under mine to see if they have the smaller hose that runs back up to the fill opening to vent the tank ,if so ide take a look and see if that hose is kinked.

Ok i will check but i think that dodge does not have it.I still don,t know why they don,t have that metal flap on the inside of the filler tube.

Ya i hear you i got pissed off also and now i never fill my tank.I only put in just over 3/4 full.My truck is an 2008 so i m not sure if its other years also.
