Default trying to buy a stereo system

ok so i bought the sub box that goes under the back seat for 2 12's. but I can't find a good combination of subs and an amp. I want somethin that'll slam, but they're probably going to have to be shallow mount subs to fit in the box.. anyone have any ideas?

I have a Rockford HE2 Dual voice coil 12 in my under the seat box and it fits just fine. Whatever combo you get go with a good amp as top priority, cuz great subs won't do squat if they are being pushed by a crappy amp. My 12 is running at 2 ohms pushed by a Rockford 500watt mono amp.

(I like Rockford Fosgate amps they are nearly bulletproof and they are available with a remote EQ/Bass **** to compensate for different types of music you might listen to)

I installed a pair of the MTX shallow mount 12's into an 07 Ram 4-door. When we installed them we built a custom fiberglass box to fit under the seat, and they actually sounded pretty good! Im not usually a fan of MTX but it seems they did a decent job on these! As far as the amp goes... I would go with either a Rockford or a Kicker monoblock.

I would have to say that that is a false statement. Granted it is true if the subs are WAY underpowered, but good sound from subs is all in the Box. I have a pair of Diamond Audio D610D4's in my truck, running off of a temp no name, 5 year old 400 watt mono amp. They are wired in series and at 8 ohms. They still rock hard since they are in a custom box that I built to the exact specifications of the subs.

I saw a thread a while back that said they would fit but idk if they do thats my new up grade from my rockfords. But as the grille i bought it off eBay and cut the cross hares out so you couldnt see them ( originally supposed to go over the crosshares) and the bought a 2009 dodge emblem and put it in the middle to break up the lines. $120 total cost.

I didn't think we were discussing the box as an option,he asked about Subs and amps right? He has already settled on a box. I didn't tell him to buy crap subs but I think making your best $ investment would be amp 1st and speakers 2nd.
