Dog, when I was in the market for HIDs I thought the same as you. For the extra few dollars I would go ahead and get the Bi-kit. But as Abarmby said, I never use the HID highs as the lows put out more than enough. IMO, getting a Bi-kit was a waste of my money. I should have gotten a HID high / halogen low.

 

get HID high and low, that is stupid to not pay a little extra for a real set
