can i put 18 inch rims on my 2005 dodge ram, it originally comes with 20 inch stock

Yep, the smallest you can go is 17 I think.

so i dont have to worry about the disc brake size or callipers, just have to get the same bolt pattern?

you're fine, 17" and larger will clear everything...

stock 20's have a 5.75" backspacing and are 9" wide. If you get 18's. Get 18x9 and 5" BS that way you can choose any tire size up to 35" without any clearance issue's. If you plan to go bigger, get a 4.5"BS

5x5.5 is the pattern
