all i have ever used are silverstars...they burn out fast

 

Maybe you don't always get what you pay for? If you have consistent problems with short-lived bulbs you might try using the cheaper bulbs from Wagner or Pilot. I saw an H3 clear 12 volt / 100 watt pilot bulb for under $6.00 - Pilot Motorsports Brand Item# PLH3K100.
I don't know if they are good or not - I use KC's.
