Default Too big?

I have a 2007 v6 dodge ram 1500 quad cab. I am looking to buy some new rims. I have found some 24" millanni kool whips. Are these too big and heavy for my v6? Will it really make that big of a difference? Or do I need to go with the 22's? Thank u very much for the help.

Well, considering the factory 20s are 40# each, you better check the weight of either set. Centerline offers some nice 20s that are 13# less a piece. Also, watch your gearing. If you go above 33" in tire height, you will make the gearing taller, and make it harder to accelerate. Factory 275/60R20s are 33" tall.

I just got a set of 275/65/18s for my truck. They are heavier, and will change the gearing of the truck, but in my opinion, the taller the better. I lost some low end torque and acceleration as well as some city mileage but the grip, ride, and major increase in freeway mileage was well worth it. As long as you don't drag race your truck at every light, you should be fine with whatever size you get. Heck, I know you can fit a set of 26" rims on these trucks.
