Default Can I install A Power Seat

Can I install a power driver seat in my 04 Ram. It does not now have one, but there is a seat at a local wrecking yard and the harness is exactly the same. My truck has a 5 wire plug coming out of the floor, with only two plugged into that for the seat belt sensor, the new seat has 5 wires that match perfectly (color and size) to the plug coming out of the floor. I think that's fine. I'm being told there may be an issue with the Body Control Module (BCM). Opinions range from - the BCM won't send power to it, the BCM may get fried, it may screw other systems up, the BCM will program itself to power it as long as the battery is disconnected before the seat is plugged in. Does any body know. My dealer service department doesn't. Chrysler customer service says ask the dealer service department. I could easily run and isolated power wire to the seat, but would like to just plug it in. Any help appreciated.

Yes you can, but it may not be a direct plug and play. It WILL bolt in easy, but the wiring is the thing. Highly recommend a FSM when doing this.

Perhaps it is a Field Shop Manual?
You would think that a certified Dodge Dealer would have one and KNOW how to use it!
