Default Overall MPH

So maybe I just got bored while waiting for money to buy parts. I read some of the owners manual and found out about how to find out how many hours your engine has running.

I have 60700 miles and an engine run time of 1550 hours. My MPH according to these numbers is 39.16 MPH.

What's yours?

If you don't know how to get the engine run hours all you have to do is turn the key to the RUN position (do not start the engine) and hold down the trip switch for 6 seconds.

You must do a lot of highway driving.

Most of my miles came in a fairly short span. I was driving 210 highway miles a day for work over 9 months. Figured all that 80-mph driving would give me a higher average, but now I do a lot of short city trips in heavy traffic. I bet if i did this check in another year my average will be even lower....

My truck sits at 30.01 mph average. That was at 82,022 miles. I now have about 1000 more miles.

116,592 mi / 3332 hr = 34.991 average speed

The previous owner must not have done a lot of highway driving...

I wasn't sure what type of numbers to expect from other people, but we seem to be fairly consistantly in the 30's...

A lot of hours in our trucks to be going 35-40...
