Default Someones opinion on the Edge EZ performance chip.

I have a 2003 Dodge 2500 diesel SRW and was looking for some performance options. I have recently mounted 35x12.5 tires and have noticed a small reduction in horse power. I was told from my mechanic that the Edge EZ was an option but he had never tried it. Has anyone used this or any other performance software they would recomend?

The Edge EZ is a mild performance enhancement for the CTD. If you tow, you will need gauges to go with it.

A better option is going to be coming out hopefully in May. Edge Products should have the Juice with Attitude out toward the end of May. It is an in cab adjustable fueling box that will give you between 40 & 100 HP. With the Attitude monitor, it has your EGT and Boost gauges built in, along with many other nice features, such as, defueling according to EGT's, defueling according to Trans slipage, 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times and more.

The the "HOT Juice" will be about 180 HP! [sm=drooldude.gif]

It is a little spendy, about $900 but you add up all the features and it's pretty reasonable.

Saw them test this on a 3500 Ram on TRUCKS the other day. It looks pretty promising, the defueling is a nice way to not over do it and break something.

Spring of 2004 at BD Dyno Days, I dynoed the Ghost Rider and put down 250.7 RWH. This year, April 23rd, 2005, I dynoed a Hot Juice at BD Dyno Days in Abbotsford, BC. with only and upgrade turbo (B1-2-04) and the Hot Juice at 454.8 RWH! [sm=drooldude.gif] Didn't have the EZ hooked up.
