the problem that i noticed that caused me to put airbags in was, hitting a bump, but seam in the road or catching the gravel on the edge of the road and the truck got all upset and either went for the on coming lane or ditch, I didnt like that feeling and i sure didnt want that to happen with my wife driving (i like to tell she like to hit stuff ha ha) from what i've read on DF people were saying put a swaybar in or airbags. i went with airbags for the leveling and the payload capacity with out killing my leafsprings

Not a lot of 1/2 tons have a solid front axle. Most auto makers are using the IFS now. But on the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks you will still find the solid front axle. I think the Mega cab is the only 1/2 ton dodge has a solid front axle on. But the 1500 mega cab is sitting on the 2500 frame.Originally Posted by Menace2Authority
I thought alot of the 4x4's came with solid front axles. Or possibly the TRX4 packaged trucks....

Spent about 8 hrs today on anchient desert two tracks and backroads doing some scouting for an upcoming antelope hunt. The rear end wheel hop and wobbly front end damn near beat me to death.
