Default Tire size suggestions

2006 TRX4.

Truck comes stock with 265/70/R17 tires.

At this point I don't know if I really want to put a leveling kit on the truck because I'll be hauling around a snowmobile in the back of the truck all winter and a leveling kit will more than likely make the **** end look "low" when driving around with a 600 lb sled in the back. So... assuming I don't get a leveling kit... what's the biggest size tire I can comfortably fit on this truck? I should be picking up the truck in a few days and want to start tire shopping now.

Thanks!

You can get a 285/70/17 no problem.....and im pretty sure the Nitto Terra Grapplers in a 295/70/17 fit without any lift or anything....

i would do the lift and then a some helper springs in the back....it will look better over all

you want room in the wells to allow for the load as well as a good bit of bouncing. A tire that is 33" tall would be about the largest I would go in a stock height truck...

Hmm... well the current tires I believe have an OD of a little over 31", so moving up to 33's wouldn't even give me a full inch of added clearance. Maybe I will have to look into a bit of a lift so I can slip some 35's under it.
