Default 04 1500 4x4 5.7 slow to respond in reverse?

New to DF, I have an 04 1500 4x4 5.7 with 45REF transmission with 64,000 mile.

When the truck sets for a few hours and you start it up, put it in reverse it takes about 5 seconds before it will start to move. Took it to the Dodge Dealer in Tucson and they said it needed a drop pan and filter change.

I took it home and did the filter change, both the screen and spin on and it took 10 quarts of AFT+4. This was done at 38,000 miles also.

After the drop pan and filter change it is doing the same thing. It acts like the fluid is draining out of the converter.

Any suggestions??

Yes my friend

http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2005/21-015-05.htm is the TSB.

But there is a CSA .. Customer Satisfaction Advisory out there. The dealer will do the same thing free of charge. Not sure where I found it.

mine does the same and I have about 70K on it with the trans serviced at 50K - no issues does slow you down a bit when you are readt to back out and hit the road.
I'm planning a different filter and a extra capacity trans pan from moes performance just for added fluid capacity...

Let the idle drop before putting it in gear
