Default resistor mod???

whats this mod i hear about every once and awhile tried searching couldnt find anything seen a couple videos and listed they have a 1.5 OHM RESISTOR MOD listed?? whats this supposed to do. does it even work???

this was the DIY for making a power wire. it tricks your computer to think the air is 20 degrees cooler than it really is. have heard alot of mixed reviews about it. if you search for power wire you should find it.

so its attaching to the wire that hooks into the air intake??? the sensor??

Let me help you out on this. The beloved Power Wire that costs $50 is nothing more than a 4.7k ohm resistor packaged all nice and neat with nice PnP connectors on the end. I had one and I made one. Here are some pics with the Powerwire on a meter being tested for resistance and the last pic is one I made after buying a pack of (5) 1/8 or 1/4 wall resistors from Radio Shack for $1. And yes is does trick the PCM into thinking the air is 20* less in temp. I read it myself on my SC3815

Seriously though, why do you say that? He must have a different believe of what the power wire is?

IMO its a waste of time but at least if you try one make your own for $1. That way if you don't like it or don't see any gains you won't be out but $1.
