I can't find this info anywhere...I hear of everybody wanting to paint or switch out their grille and/or bumper to their body color (like the sports), but I want the opposite. I have a 2002 RAM 1500 Sport. Bumper and grille is black (like the body), I wanted to get the all chrome grille and the black/chrome bumpers...Is this possible??? I know the sports have a different size grille and bumpers, so is there anywhere to find something? Thanks in advance.

 

A sport 02 has the same exact grill as a SLT 02. The bumper is different though.

LMC truck sells chrome grills and bumpers; as well as all the brackets. It's an easy switch

yes i would like to know that same question too. I have a chrome bumper and i was gonna get it painted to match my truck but if i can just swap out with a sport bumper ill do that.

 

dam, if mine werent in such bad condition I'd say lets trade. I want black bumpers and black grill, right now I have the black and chrome bumper and grill... I got scratch marks all over my bumper and the grill has been modded to fit my new grill inserts.

 

Yes. The only difference is that the sport front is a plastic cover attached to the metal bumper, and the chrome front, IS the actual bumper. All you do is unbolt your plastic cover/bumper, have the right brackets, and bolt the new chrome one on. Be sure you have the upper bumper cover though. It's the red piece in my sig pic


You can either buy the sport bumper set up, paint your chrome bumper, or buy a cover like me.

 

So if I buy the sport bumper, does it come painted? Can I buy the grill painted also? I don't have time to paint stuff or send to a body shop.

 

I mean that I don't have time to paint my stock bumper, grille, etc. So buying it all pre painted would be great.

 

no it only comes primered

 

Like silver said, you can only get them primerd. Only way not tois try and find one on ebay (hard)

Or you could drive to your local dealership at 3 in the morning and make one of their sport trucks an slt lol
