Lowered Trucks: tech and info....
I need help! I don't know if I want to just level thee rear end or do a complete lowering kit. Any help with pro's and con's of each? Also, I am going to stay with my stock size wheels (17's). I don't know if that matter's at all, but any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
Many folks start with lowering the rear for a level look. This is a good look, without spending a lot of money. Then there are a some who want a lower look and more performance oriented ride and normally go to a 2/4.5 drop. The rear is pretty much standard with a flip kit and shocks. Remove the OEM bumps. Front you can go either with shorter springs or a drop spindles. Drop spindles allows you to maintain a closer to stock front suspension geometry. If tou want more you are into serious suspension mods and will be the one answering the questions. Good luck....
How would I go about just dropping the rear for the level look? I saw at one point leveling leaf spring kit, but can't seeem to find them anymmore. And all the flip kits I see are like 5" drops... that is too much, is it not?
ya man i got a family member that works at discount tire down here in fort worth and he can get me actually the exact same rims and tires that you are running and my alignment! ha ha ill have to truck in the shop on wednesday so ill post pictures when i get it back.
we're good, things are.. well normal i guess. the power keeps going out in another living area where the rest of my platoon is... its gonna cost 3 mil to fix it, but the army's too cheap to fix it. so their gonna have to deal with it.. BURN! but im good, just cant wait to get home and drive my truck again!
Hey Jarrod904 i wanted to know did u get the BellTech with the Nitro Drop 2 shocks or the Street performance one? Because now the shop i was going to has not ordered my drop and never put my in the book for tomorrow so i have to wait until the 27th to get it done or go somewhere else and order the drop myself.
