i would NEVER trade my truck for it, but you have to admit it would be fun driving a tiny *** car with the same if not more horsepower than a hemi. and when the turbo kicks in... yea its enough to make any ricky bobby wannabe in here(including myself) cream in thier pants... but like i said i would even think about losing my truck for it

ST's are V6's aren't they? If indeed you do have a 4.7, then I added it below.
2003 Dodge Ram 1500 ST 2x4 V6: 215 hp / 4,863 lbs (approx) = .044211 hp/lbs
2003 Dodge Ram 1500 ST 2x4 V8: 240 hp / 4,863 lbs (approx) = .049352 hp/lbs
1997 Mitsubish Eclipse RS: ......... 140 hp / 2,767 lbs ........... = .050596 hp/lbs
Your truck compared to the weakest Eclipse from that generation...
Eclipse has a .006385 advantage in the hp/lb ratio when stock if you have an ST. If you do have the 4.7, then he should have beat you by an inch. Unless you have work on your truck, that's more than an exhaust and intake.

Power to weight is a good thing to know but you also have to include TQ and gearing as well. I'm fairly sure that the Eclipse doesn't have a 3.55/3.92 gear in it and is not putting out nearly the amount of torque the 4.7 is in the lower rmp range. Add in those factors plus if he got off the line first and the win sounds about right for the distance and speed he got up to (assuming speed limit was around 45-50mph). Now if he didn't let off and they were going a full 1/4mile drag the eclipse should have been able to catch him.
(And if it was exactly like the car in the pic, it be an 06+ going on the body lines and rear bumper, and the base model 06 eclipse 0-60 times are right around 9.2 seconds, pretty damn slow. If it was an 03' you're looking at 0-60 in a little over 8 seconds and a 1/4 mile of a little over 16 seconds. Cant find any times for a 03 ram QC 4.7L 4x4 though to compare.)
