Default Door Repair

Well, I really screwed up this time. I noticed a golf ball sized dent in the rear driver's side door on my quad cab. I thought I would be Johnny Hero and try to fix it myself, but ended up making it worse. I then took it to a paintless dent repair shop that I had used before and he said that he would have easily been able to fix it if nobody would have messed with it. Anyway, he suggested having the dent filled and the door repainted.

My question is how much will it cost, roughly, to have this done? Another option I thought of was finding a truck of the same color with the door in good shape and swapingf them. Has anyone does this? Are the door hinges adjustable? Any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry, not very tech saavy in the department of downloading photos. The dent is halfway up the door. The problem is, I tried to fix it with a screwdriver and ended up crinkeling the metal and actually pushed some of the metal back out.

What the hell did you try to do with the screwdriver?! Should have just tried to use a hammer and do light taps on the basckside to get it out. That sucks though.

x3 on the screwdriver?? a flat hammer would have been a better choice but the original dent prob would have costed 30 bucks to fix. now if you need to repaint the door it will easily cost 150 just for painting

door swap should be painless, but you still gotta find one that is the same color, and then still may have shading issues in paint, and sun fade.
