Default Air filter fell off, what to do?

Today i noticed that my truck wasnt pulling as much when i punched it. I have a 05 hem with a k&n cold air intake. I thought maby the filter was dirty, when i checked it i noticed it was hanging off a little.
What should i do?
What would happen if i sucked in any dirt?

I would pull off your intake and look at your throttle body, see how dirty it is. and I would also put some seafoam in the engine to clean out any dirt that might be in there.

and ditch the K&N and get a BFI haha

The dirt will just end up in your oil and come out when you change it. Does the intake tube look dirty? It's a good idea to check your TB like johnny said, and you might as well clean it while everything is pulled off. There isn't much you can do once the dirt is in there other then change the oil to get it out, so you don't have dirty oil causing extra wear. Make sure you get everything tightened up good when you put your intake back on.

Not to side track this thread but can you pull off the intake at the TB and pour the Seafoam into it? I already added it to the oil and gas tank but haven't done the injectors yet.

don't pour any seafoam into your tb. it may not hurt but there is no point in it. if you want it to get your top end you want to do it when the motor is running. suck it in through a vacuum line or something.

I did the Seafoam one time on a jeep, crazy. I need to figure out a way to wire up a bottle of Seafoam to a switch on my dash for a smokescreen, just like the movies.
