05 Ram 3500 diesel Tires HELP
I have an 05 3500 It came with 265 75 17 tires. I have a chance to buy some 245 70 17 Take off rims and tires off of an 09 2500 for $500.00 the wheels & tires have ONLY 50 miles on them. Will they work on my 05?

The above link will let you compare tire sizes easily, even for flotation tire sizes.
I don't know about the load rating on these "new" tires, but since they are nearly 2" shorter than what you have now - I would be concerned and check it out. Personally, I would not go that direction. But, hope the calculator helps some.
