Cool body lift and grill guard issues...

SO...

I'm lookin into gettin the Performance Acc. 3" Body Lift for my truck, and I know with the kit, they do include the bumper relocating brackets for the front and rear.

my problem is I have a grill gaurd that mounts to the frame, and I don't believe the kit includes brackets to relocate that, so it looks like some fabricating will have to happen...

anyone else run into that problem?

any pics that fixed it would surely help...

THANX

Yep, you'll have to fab something up. It's the reason I decided against going up another 3" of body lift and going to 37" tires. I have the added issue that my grill guard also holds the winch mount. It's one thing to fab up brackets to hold the weight of a grill guard, an entirely different issue to support the weight of the truck if I need to winch it out!

Only thing I can really do is add a 2" level kit up front and either remove my 2" blocks in the rear and go with 4" ones or do add-a-leafs. But then the CV angle is gonna be severe, unlike a body lift. So, for now at least, I'm staying at 4" of suspension lift and 35" tires...

You know Hammer, thats exactly whats holding me also. Hell my winch alone has to be around 80lbs or so I guess. And I remember having to use my floor jack to support the weight of my grill guard just so I could mount it and adjust the bumper. I would LOVE to have one and go a bit higher and IF I were to do it, I dont think I would w/o having some 3/8 or 1/2 steel of sorts to make brackets to hold the grill and winch.
