Once of the very nicest trucks out there and well deserving of a first place trophy.

George, Your attention to detail is what sets your truck apart. Great work my man!

I disagree frog. I think you're on your way to setting some trends here.

You can spend as much or as little for a shell as you want. It's the options that really jack up the price (no surprise). This shell was $1800. It has frameless glass, removable sliding rear window (great for cleaning the rear window), and the lock is tied into my door locks. Those options add some coin. Racks are the same way. A simple thin-gauge bolt-together basket is relatively cheap (maybe a a few hundred), but a heavier gauge one piece rack costs a bit more ($400+). Same with the lights, low cost KC knockoffs can be had for $30 a pair at autozone. 9" VisionX lights (what I have) cost quite a bit more.

You could do a cheap knock off of my setup for around $1200. If you want my exact set up, topper, rack, lights.... you'll need closer to $3k.

I guess the reason I am so incredulous is because I have had so many folks opposed to it along the way. When I got the topper I heard a lot about how it looked like an "old man" truck. When I put the rack on I was told it was too small and that I should have got a bigger one. I knew all along that I planned to accessorize the rack, and so I purposely got it small so that it wouldn't overwhelm the cap when I was finished. All kinds of folks told me that the lights would be cutoff by the roof line, or that they would reflect on the hood, etc. But it was my vision and I went forward with it. I can tell you this- the vision isn't complete.

It turned out great so far, I have been looking at doing the same type of lift with 36" tires. It would be nice to see some addition shots of the truck other than the one angle. Keep up the good work! Nothing beats seeing your own vision come alive.....

I'm seriously looking at 36" tires. I'll try to get a few more shots this weekend.

Yeah, the more I see the shell, the more I like it....kind of looks like a Dodge "Suburban"!

Now that would be sweet! The rack and the lights on top look slick as well. I guess parking garages are out of the question.
