ABS or warped rotor?

ABS or warped rotor?
My previous vehicle didn't have ABS, so I have a primitive knowledge of it .... but from what I remember I shouldn't notice the ABS unless I jam on the brakes. Right?
I feel a slight pulse under braking, at all speeds, heavy & light braking. It seems to be related to vehicle speed and that makes me think it's a warped rotor. But if yall are all noticing this "pulsing" under light braking too, then it must be the ABS.
I guess my question is, does everyone notice a pulse or is it just me?

RE: ABS or warped rotor?
I haven't seen a TSB for the 04's on that.... maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Does anyone have better info than this:

RE: ABS or warped rotor?
I stand corrected. I know there is a TSB for the '03 model, but I'm not seeing one for the '04 model. This is the link for the '03 model.

RE: ABS or warped rotor?
My '03 Hemi 1500 QC brakes smooth and steady every time. I don't know if anything was changed in the brakes in '04 but it sounds like you've just got a rotor out of whack.
ABS only comes on in extremely hard (panic) braking or if on a slippery/wet surface.
(sorry, this was meant to be in reply to locked up <-- ironic handle name, BTW )

RE: ABS or warped rotor?
I just got mine back from the dealer. This was the second time it was in for this reason. I have a little over 20,000 miles on my truck now and the service writer said the only reason they replaced them was because I had had an earlier problem with them. He also said that Chrysler is only covering the warped rotors for 12 months/12,000 miles. I guess the guy with 24,000 miles just got lucky. Then again, I guess it just depends on if your service writer is cool or not. Good luck either way. If they start acting up again, which I'm sure they will, I'm just going to buy Powerslot rotors and Hawk brake pads. Everyone on this board and dodgetruckworld.com said they made all the difference in the world.
