well thought i'd share my opinion. very easy to use, loaded the performance tune, adjusted the shift from 1-2 up to 5900... i noticed a good bit of better throttle response down low and it feels a good bit stronger from 3500 rpms and up... The shifts are amazing how they feel and put you back in the seat... best $200 i spent in a long time...

I don't want to rain on your parade but you do realize that the 3815 is not going to get any of the new trans options being released, that is why they are selling so cheap now.

I know that, but it did not stop me from buying one. Right now my only option is a 3815 or a 3865. (I feel kinda like the 03 guys) Since nothing offers me a trans delete, the 3815 was fine... Can't wait to try it out.

I agree with you on the best $200 spent. This is the best $200 I've ever spent on my truck. It hauls so much more *** now. I just wish it wasn't an '03 so I could actually mess with my shift points and what not. Not just my rev limiter. But yes, the tunes really wake these trucks up.

well, I could not wait any longer. I finally plugged it in and tried it out. I mainly wanted to make sure it would read my truck (07 flex-fuel) and make sure it would run! So far, so good, but I only took it for a short spin. I did notice my TQ will not lockup in 5th until I hit 45mph now. Prior to tuning I could get it to lock @38. I did have to use the tire diameter feature, as it was going to press with 31.75, and my tires are 33. I do have the Transgo shift kit installed, including resistor... I will have to find a quiet spot and see if I can get the truck to light both rear wheels. That would be great!!

[edit] Nuts Madmax, I forgot about adjusting shift points!

These trucks will burn them on a take-off. After I tuned my truck, I went on a side street away from houses to check something on my truck but decided to go to another spot to look at it. So I got on my truck, and heard both tires spinning. Then trying to see just how quick my truck could move, I went down a long stretch, but there were weeds under my one tire, so when I hammered on it, I lit up both tires, then overpowered the rearend and sat and only spun the one. lol

Glad you guys are haying fun with them. Remember you can check and clear the DTC codes and monitor many things with that tuner also.

Can you alter shift points and shift firmness on an '04 4.7L with the 3815??? What is the "new trans. stuff" coming out for the 3865?
