Default 2007 Dodge Ram 4WD leveing questions

My brother owns a 2004 dodge ram and put new tires and tightened his torsion bars to level the front end a bit and the truck looks awesome. I have a 07, no torsion bars of course and am wanting to level the truck. I have looked at several brands and the only main different besides some of them needed to load springs (not going to buy one of those) is that the Ready Lifts are more expensive of course and include "custom bump stop brackets to ***** downward suspension travel." Is this truely needed? I dont really want to buy something twice as expensive if it isnt truly needed. Also has anyone had trouble with CV joint or other suspension problems when installing a leveling kit. I am a little skeptical about messing with the front end ( dont really want to through money way). Any opinions or experiences are appreciated.

I would check the FAQ section and Search function as there is a LOT of info about leveling kits and what to get.
