Default 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 Quad Cab (Pre-Owned) HELP

I am currently looking into purchasing this '07 Dodge Ram. The dealership wants $22,999. Here is what it comes with..........

SLT, Air Conditioning,
Power Steering, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Tilt Wheel, Cruise
Control, AM/FM Stereo, Single Compact Disc, Dual Front Air Bags, ABS (4-Wheel), Power Seat, Sliding Rear Window, Running Boards, Hard Tonneau Cover, Towing Pkg, Alloy Wheels, Pwr 4-wheel disc brakes, Pwr rack & pinion steering, Rear wheel anti-lock brakes, Trailer tow wiring-inc: 4-pin connector, Pwr heated fold-away exterior mirrors, Removable tailgate, Tinted windows, Variable speed intermittent windshield wipers, Air conditioning, Pwr accessory delay, Pwr locks, Remote keyless entry, Speed control, Tilt steering column, Front shoulder belt height adjusters.

I just haven't a clue as to what I should expect to pay for a truck like this. I Kelly Blue Booked the truck and they suggested a retail value of $24,000. I don't want to walk onto the lot and have this salesperson eat me alive.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How mAny miles? I think could get it cheaper though. Haggle for anything below 20,000.

Let's not forget, you guys are from Texas and Tennessee, He is in NY. Trucks are alot cheaper the farther south you go. That's why KBB asks for your zip when coming up with a price.

I would recommend you post the information regarding this vehicle on
http://townhall-talk.edmunds.com/direct/view/.ee9c851 (Edmunds real world trade values)
Ask for an average auction value on the truck. They will be able to give you a true auction value. KBB, Edmunds, NADA, etc. are only estimates.
You might also want to see what a similarly equipped truck is going on ebay.

Make sure to post 4WD, number of miles, and any other details on the vehicle. This would give you an idea of what the truck would be worth at auction. About 2-3 grand over this would be a reasonable offer price depending on how long the dealer had this truck. Truck and SUV auction values have spiked in the past months. If they have had this truck in inventory for more than 3-4 months they might have less in it than if they acquired it more recently.

I paid 22,500 for my 2007 new in 2/09 with 15 miles. The MSRP was about 35,500. I felt I was paying about 2,000 more than it was worth, but it was the only new one within 300 miles and had the options I wanted. The deals are not as good right now on new as they were even three months ago. After this cash for clunkers is over the new prices might become attractive again. As long as gas remains under $3.00/gallon, SUV and truck prices will remain higher. Unless gas spikes again, the deals of the 2nd half of 2008 will be gone for a while on trucks and SUVs.
