Default please help shopping

Just let me start by saying this forum is awsome.
I need some serious advice shopping for a newer truck
I live in upstate ny
I have read some post and seen guys saying 07 1500 4x4 slt quad cab are only worth 18-19

Well the problem around here is all the 06 with 30000 miles are still listed for 22000 and up,

thier all 1500 4x4 slt sport or bighorn with quad cab and hemi,

my question is what is a truck like this really worth

im sick of getting ripped off

oh want a laugh thier is an 06 Night runner for 20000 with 80000 miles
are this people crazy in this town yea thats right 80 thousand

did you talk to the dealers to see if you can get them down in price? usually they are willing to negotiate, depending on what they have in the truck (which is way less then they are asking)
i always like to buy from private sellers... it takes a lot more shopping, and you dont get a warranty (the stuff i can afford is too old for warranty anyway) but theres just something about knowing the guy who owned it before me and you can usually find a better price than from a stealership... just a thought

good luck and welcome to DF

Go to Kelly Blue Book or NADA and you can get a ballpark price from there for particular trucks and options.

it all depends on where you live too..
i could drive my truck to california right now and make a profit selling it there, or losing money selling it here in missouri

Headlights also, the amber strip in the bottom of em.
Shop around, hit Jersey, Pa and any other close state. I know its a bit different but i was offered 22K trade on mine if i bought a 32K truck (new ram). As stated earlier location matters as well.

It all depends on what the local market dictates. Incomes are higher in the northeast and most things cost more there as well.
I know their is a lot of competition around here and used trucks are on everyone's lot, so they don't list them as high and will really deal on them.

I stopped in the local lot the other day to pick up something I ordered for my Jeep and got to BS'ing with the sales mgr. ( a golf buddy). They had an '07 QCSB Hemi 4x4 on the lot, 30k miles with a price of $21,995 on the window. Dude told me if knew someone looking for a 4x4, he only had about $15,500 in it and would let it go for $17,500.

So that should show you how much "play" they got in used vehicles...
