Ticking Noise/Rear end shake

Ticking Noise/Rear end shake
I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with approx 29,000 miles on it. I have two problems I was curious if someone might be able to give me an idea of whats causing them:
1) ticking noise can only be heard outside the vehicle. I think it's normal but I wanted another oppinion.
2) When I accelerate sometimes there is a shake to the vehicle it seems like it's coming from the rear end and it's during slower speeds.
