3 things I specifically wanted when I bought my truck. Hemi, tow package and 20" wheels. 17's are kinda old school looking to me. Nothing says badass ride like the Rams that come stock with 20's. 90% of the time, guys drive more on road than offroad.
Most avid hardcore offroaders that drive their DD vehicle on and offroad have 2 sets of wheels for that reason. If you really want aggressive add some offset wheels(or get spacers) and throw some fender flares on.
I would get the CAI last if your looking more for looks. In my personal opinion. Buying Complete CAI kits is a waste of $$$$$ if you spend more than $150 on one. Get a K&N filter and call it a day. The gains to be had by installing anything more expensive or complicated is merely for looks and not power. I would guess throwing in a K&N vs doing a complete kit($300) will yield maybe 1-2hp difference.
Shorty headers for around the same price(maybe $50 more) will add waaaay more than any CAI would anyday.(granted you already have a high flow filter in stock box)

Towing mirrors? Do you have a camper or a very wide enclosed trailer?? If not I say forget them. Total waste. A guy down the road from me had them and they look ridiculous as he drives all over with them full stretch. What a clown!
My stock mirrors are plenty wide enough for my 7ft wide dump trailer. Only time I would even consider Tow mirrors is if I had a camper or enclosed snowmobil trailer that didn't have the sides that angled.

Handheld tuner regardless of brand will give you the best gains out there dollar for dollar and easability.
Living in CT. i would not install a 180* T-stat and if you buy a handheld programmer, the power wire is a waste IMO

thats a great deal if you like your rims, but if you don't, you can buy some aftermarket rims for a little more than that.

Yea I was going to to do the T-Stat but I live in CT & weather varies like crazy... I take very good care of my truck & really dont need my engine to run cooler... I think the towing mirrors maybe something for looks.... But Ill soon decidede.... I think I may go with 20's since I don't go offroad much but still paint my rims black & get aggressive tires... Thank you everyone keep the comments... What would be the perfect way to go... I dont want to make changes to the truck it's not going to help...

Now if you dont have chrome wheels it can be managed cheaper just because you dont have to mess with getting rid of the chrome hopefully this is your case

So hate to be a bearer of bad news but I feel the same way
Your uncle either doesn't know what the heck he's talking about, or he's a complete ripoff. You tell us which.

Question: So is the stock CAI restrictive at all? Cause I dont see how it would be & just feel like dropping a K&N filter

the stock manifold is not too bad. just drop in a filter and be done with it. the intake doesn't need drastic modification until you're made other significant changes to your engine.

efan is a great mod. if for no other reason, then to quiet the thing down at startup and allow better cooling when in traffic. hopefully i'll add that to my list soon.
