I just had my transmission rebuilt but when I got it out on the freeway the trans temp light came on. I took it back to the shop and the mechanic wants to bypass the control valve so the fluid will flow better and cool down faster. Shouldn't he just replace the faulty control valve? I havent had any temp problems prior to the rebulid.
