Default Battery Question

I read this forum almost everyday, and thought it would be worthwhile to start an account. I know there couldn't be a worse way to make a name than this, but has anybody ever had problems taking off their battery?! I took the bolts out from the cable..and usually its just a simple tugging off the cable from the terminal, but my battery has some sort of detail that won't let it budge...I have examined it from every angle and the only way I see taking it off would be bending the metal apart, but then I would never be able to use that cable again ha..any help appreciated

flat head screwdriver to pry apart the metal where the bolt squezzes it together. Only a lil bit will do the trick. Then they will come right off. When you bolt them back on it will squeeze it again. Don't remove the bolt all the way, just unscrew most of the way. If you still cannot get them off, pry underneath with a screwdriver or pinch bar. prob just been on and not touched for a while

U sure it was a tach weld or someone working on it with a wrench and shorted out the wrench and got a weld mark. Ive seen that happen a few times.

Yeah they are both under the hood. Because of the CIA I have it clears room on the pass side fender for another batt box. Being our trucks are setup the same as those 25/3500 with dual batts, all you need is a batt box from one of thier trucks. So I found a guy on a Dodge diesel forum and bought it from him. I have seen them on Ebay from time to time but make sure it is the pass side.

And yes mine are both under the hood. If you want a driver side batt box to put in yout truck or in the toolbox, I have one of those also.

here is a link to my pics of the setup, you can also click on the link in my sig to see the same and more
