Default Insurance 1500 Hemi vs 2500 Cummis

I tried searching but couldn't come up with much. I saw a 2500 cummins today that caught my eye, it's the same year as my truck and both are SLT, 4x4, QC, SB. Just wondering if anybody knows which direction my insurance cost might go?.

That does make sense for collision and comprehension, but I was told by a friend that the 1500's were rated like a sports car for liability. Anybody heard of this?

That could be true. I was looking at insurance on a 2009 Challenger SRT-8, and it was $100 less per 6 months than my truck.

Of course it would be cheaper.4 wheel drive is more than a car.Alot of things make insurance different.Color will even drive the insurance price up.Certain colors are more prone to be stolen.Saftey features all have a effect.4 wheel drive cause they feel you will use it more in unsafe enviorments. The list of why is long and confusing.Only reason i know this is cause my wife has worked car insurance for 18 years and i complain all the time about it,lol. One way to get that monthly diesel payment down to the 1500 level would be to raise your deductables to a higher amount and hope ya never have to use it.Mine jumped big time just cause my son is 18 and even though he has his own car he still has access to mine.Different states have different rules but it still cost to much IMO.Just another way to keep me working for the rest of my life, lol.

$300 per month full coverage 500/250 for 2007 QC, 2005 CTS, 2005 Civic. Oh and a 16 year old driver and this does not include the bike and boat.
