Unhappy I need some help...i have pictures

This being my first 4wd vehicle i need some help finding out whats going on here. I finally went synthetic yesterday with mobil 1. so i was feeling kind of proud of myself and now i read on a thread yesterday that mobil 1 is now garbage ... lol, talk about a buzz kill. but anyways, back to my problem. i was under my truck and this is the first thing i saw. Im not to concerned about getting it fixed right away as i rarely even use 4wd but it still concerns me as hunting season is right around the corner... thanks in advance

Is that your front or back diff? You got a leak somewhere, my guess would be the seals on the ends of the axel housing.

And who told you mob1 was garbage? 40% of the guys here run it. 40% more run RP and the others run Amsoil or Castro or whatever else.

Thats his front diff. Looks like the seal is leaking. I wouldnt worry about it too much just keep it topped up.

yea you can see where the shaft(i guess) is shiny so im thinkin the seal kinda went mad. but no big problem huh? and do these trucks have a warning light for when the fluid gets low? and yea it is the front.

and weed, i know majority or the guys here run it so it was on sale and i went with it. then i read something on a post i think it was the "royal purple oil change" thread and one guy said they have fallen off the oil game. but its in there so to late now lol. guess ill have to be my own judge
