Here's mine and I will agree with Weed and Mopar78 on what they said about it. I have noticed better throttle response and I do plan on piping both sides down to the fenders where a normal CAI is. I have also had my tuner on and saw colder temps while driving. Mainly I got one cause I like the way it looks.

yeh, if throttle opening is 3" then only so much air can go down the tube at one time... either way though with those set-ups your definitely pulling in hot air till you get some kind of speed going. Sitting right on top of the motor makes sure to do that.

Its not worth the money.... I actually ran mine for about 2 year, never noticed a difference mileage or power or throttle response.... maybe some more noise under hood.

I switched back to the stock setup last winter cause we had 5 days in a row of -20 degrees F and it was killing gas mileage.

Mine thoughts are, in summer, it might get you 1-2 MPG on the highway cause of Slightly cooler temps, But those days in the winter the air was so dam cold it was hurting my MPG.... it was talking almost 1/4 tank to do 14 miles HWY and 6 in town instead of less than 1/8.

Also I live on gravel (about 2 miles of it) and I had to clean the SOB every month.... the cleaner spray is like $20 and only lasts like 6 months doing that.

Not worth the money? They are only $50 off ebay. Try telling the guys that believe those name brand ones that cost 100+ are not worth it. Those that cost that much IMO are not worth it.

Whether you are running an open air intake or factory, if its -20 outside for 5 days, youre still sucking in the same air no matter what filter or setup you use.

These so called CAI arent really "cold air". They just allow more air in with less resistance.

And as for the K&N Cleaning kit, shop ebay and save a bundle. I buy mine for about $10 a kit.

Actually with my Flex-a-Lite E-fan Running, mine is Not pulling in the hot air off the engine because while the fan is on, even at Idle, it is pulling in fresh air in. And if you will notice, mine sits forward a ways toward the radiator, not right over the engine, so the air it is getting is from the e-fan not the heat off the engine.

I just bought one on Ebay for 80 (includes shipping and tax). Not sure if it'll be better or worse than a single routed out front on the passenger side, but they do look cool. Of course, unless you have the hood open...
