Default Engine and Trani Oil
Hi guys, I just bought a 2005 Dodge Ram, 6-speed manual, 5.9-L Diesel truck and want to change the engine and transmission oil. What oils would you recommend and how much oil does it take? Thanks.

Not trying to deny you of info but this site below would be better suited for you than here. As for fluid capacities, I dont have my AllData open right now but maybe someone else can answer it for you.

The Cummins takes 12 qts, I believe. Was there no manual with the truck? You can download one from Dodge.
