Default Blue Smoke Blowing Out of Exhaust?

My Dad just brought to my attention that blue smoke is blowing out of my exhaust when I first start the 2006 Ram up. When I started the truck up a second time nothing. Now I went on to other websites and the consensus was oil is burning. But, the main issue is how can the problem be resolved. The truck is under warranty and I've had it for only two damn weeks! Very pissed off!

Yep. blue is oil but if it only does it when you first start it up then that isnt so bad of a fix as it is the valve seals under the valve covers. There was another thread on this not too long ago.

was it parked on a hill? i've seen cars do that when parked on an incline so it might not be something to worry about.

Welcome to my club, I have the same issue and sounds like my egenin is a desiel. I'm getting a engine under warranty so I'm all good, my truck has 111,000KM on it.

A gasoline engine that sounds like a diesel is nothing like a little blow-by....lol Sounds like you've got the Hemi tick that got really bad. Valve seals are an easy repair.

Seems like a no-brainer if it's under warranty. Bring it in for repairs. Big deal.
