Where is the best place to buy projector lights?

I would say ebay and sometimes some of the HID boards have good deals. I posted a WTB for some Acura TLs with ZKW lens that i know I can buy from retrofitsource for 240 and I ran into some a$$hole a few says ago that wanted 275. You have to watch out for idiots like that who try to take advantage of you. He was a guy with 1700+ post I have had 8 and he thought he was giving me a good deal. No thanks. I know how to price my gear and what is a fair price.

 

So dump the 2.5's on ebay. Their worth what...$90-100? then fork up another $80 that you would pay for clear lenses and buy a set of spankin new fx-r's for $180 off TRS that have the clear lens adnd bi-xenon motor already. it's the same amount in the end. Then you could use those for low/high and the other set as highs????

 

I'm only doing one hid now, single e55 bi-xenon, and leaving the regullar amber bulb there...

 

how much do you charge for these weed? if i provide headlights. i found a pair for sale for $550 just single retro tho. i would buy it but not sure it seems a lil high.

 

You gotta think of the product expense as well. I spent $500 just for materials alone, but i did buy all OEM quality. Your still talking $300 or so for bare bones on the supplies and then the labor cost.$550 is not a bad price, just as long as your not getting super cheap HID kit and bulbs to go with.

It is alot of work and Very time consuming and I'm actually surprised shops only charge as little as they do for these retro fits.

 

Good questions and points made. Like Dogg said, material is costly. My labor is cheap I think but in the end the price of 500ish total is about right.

I did a set for and guy and his 05 about a week ago and Im doing a set for a guy now and he has an 07.

In both cases I only charged 200.

Projectors can start at 100 and go up to 240 depending on what you want.
HID kits can start at 75 and go up to 180ish
Shrouds are around 50ish
Halos are cheap, Oracles are insanely priced

If you need new headlights to work on while you are driving your truck then thats another cost to consider although you can sell your originals when you get the retrofits done.

Because of all my other projects going on is why I havent finished mine. Im supposed to be started my Sidewinder install today.
