Just last year my uncle came to a family BBQ and was telling people that dealers out west were doing a buy one get one free so they could close out their inventory and obtain new stuff. Of course you would have to pay the assessed sales tax on the free vehicle, but they certainly weren't touching those prices here around NY. The market is diff everywhere u go.
No haggling no dealer mark downs, he was just going off the msrp of the vehicles on the lot and jumped the gun on it. And while the vehicle its self was $7k cheaper there, the extra expences from that trip and the extra time and fees for re-registering the vehicle here, brought the cost up to where he probably could have haggled the price down to very easily.

i wouldnt by anything unless you get it checked out properly by someone that knows what they are doing and looking for whether its a truck for $30,000.00 or $300.00.you should get somthing localy so if there are any major issues after you buy it you dont have to go to hells half acre to deal with it, but thats just my oppinion.

Well, I have a lead on another truck, this one is newer (07) than the 05 I was looking for but it's still a 5.9, 6spd, but it is also modded...

A dealership just traded in the other night and it hasn't even been washed yet, but they took some pics for me and I have been emailing back and forth with them for a while today and it technically isn't out on thier lot yet.

This truck (minus the mods) would be everything we wanted from color to motor and trans combo and all. I asked a ton of questions about the mods and am still waiting on some answers, but this is what I got. Is this still worth looking into further for my needs?

2007 Dodge Ram 2500 4dr SLT 4x4 5.9L 6 speed manual, Mineral Gray Metallic Clearcoat with a Medium Slate Gray Cloth interior. It is offered with the remaining factory warranty.
And additional features/mods include: Power Drivers Seat, Tow Package, Trailer Tow Mirrors with Heat, Eclipse Premium Sound System, 18 inch Aluminum Wheels, Sliding Window, 6" Lift, Kicker Amp, Banks 6 Gun, Banks PDA, Eclipse Navigation, Sirius Satellite Radio

And these are the pics they sent, remeber they haven't cleaned it yet as it was just traded:

I spoke to the salesman about the second one again today and he is planning on trying to talk to the salesman who traded it in and getting info and then if he needs to reach out to the PO to get my questions answered. I am looking to find out what lift kit is used, what power settings are set into the banks 6 gun pda, and anything like that. I also asked if he could take some shots of under the truck so I can see more details of the lift to see if it is a type that is OK to tow with and all that...

So I guess we will see what they come back with...
