Default tranny swap engine rpm problem?!

so I just finished swapping in a 6 speed manual into my 5.7 hemi truck. Its a 2005. Anyway it seems I'm having issues with my rpm. If I just press the rpm 10% the rpms don't go to say 2000 but slowly increase all the way up and if I **** into neutral while cruising my rpms don't go down to idle but get stuck at about 2000 and don't go to idle until I completely stop. Anyone know how I should go about fixing it?

I have a stick in mine also. Normally, if you're cruising along, and shift into neutral, the computer will hold the rpm's at 1000 until you drop below 5-10 mph or so, then the r's will steady out at 600. It's possible you may need to have the computer programmed for the stick instead of the automatic, I don't for sure--just a guess--now as far as the acceleration side, the engine revs hard right off idle.

It may have something to do with the torque management portion--again--just a guess
